In group of 4 students: 1. Write a short biography  about a professional sportperson you admire. Include: - Childhood - Achievements - Main life events - Why you admire that person - Family Look at the example: Francisco Sanclemente was born in Buga. He is 27 years old. He is a Paralympic athlete who competes in marathons in his wheelchair. His favourite sport as a child was football. He studied at UNAL University. He won the gold medal at the 2012 National Games. We admire this sportperson becuase his triumph over adversity. His qualities are hard work, inspiration and responsibility. 2. The form of the verb to be is was/were in the past. Example: I was tired (yo estaba cansado) You were disappointed (tú estabas decepcionado) He was happy (Él estaba feliz) She was excited (Ella estaba emocionada) It was sad ( Era triste) We were sleepy (nosotros estábamos con sueño) They were bored (Ellos estaban aburridos) The negative form is wasn’t (was not) / weren’t (were not) Example: You weren’t disappointed (tú no estabas decepcionado) You were not disappointed (tú no estabas decepcionado) He wasn’t happy (Él no estaba feliz) He was not happy (Él no estaba feliz) Questions are indicated by inverting the subject and was/were .  Example: Was she excited?
