A BMX rider: Mariana Pajón
Mariana Pajón Londoño
She was born in Medellín in 1991, she
is 28 years old. She is a cyclist who competes in BMX racings.
When she was a child, she won her first national title at age
of 5 and her first world title at 9. She studied at Sagrado Corazón Montemayor
School in Rionegro, Antioquia.
She was
selected to be the flag-bearer for Colombia at the 2012 Summer Olympics at the
Opening Ceremony.
She is
the winner of 14 world championships, 2 national championships in the United
States, 9 Latin American Championships and 10 Pan American championships. She
is the first Colombian to win two Olympic gold medals. Her achievements in BMX
have earned her the nickname "Queen of BMX".
She got
married with French BMX rider Vincent Pelluard in 2017. They don´t have
children yet.
I
admire her because she has humility, professionalism and discipline.
